Position Summary
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal, has issued an Advertisement inviting online applications for contractual staff under an ICMR-funded Intermediate Research Grant project titled “Advancing Post Mortem Interval: A Multidisciplinary Forensic Study on Proteomic and Metabolomic Biomarkers with Predictive Modelling,” sanctioned to Dr. Niranjan Sahoo, Associate Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, AIIMS Bhopal, as Principal Investigator. Total project duration is 3 years, subject to annual extensions.
Vacancies: 2 posts
Post 1 — Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) — 1 post (UR): Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree including integrated PG degrees in Biochemistry/Forensic Sciences. Desirable: Hands-on experience in western blotting, ELISA, biological sample handling, knowledge of GCMS, and sample extraction. Remuneration: Rs. 56,000/- + 20% HRA per month. Age Limit: Below 35 years.
Post 2 — Project Technical Support-II — 1 post (UR): Essential Qualification: 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) with five years’ experience in the relevant field; OR Three-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject with two years’ experience. Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- + 20% HRA per month. Age Limit: Below 30 years.
Both posts have a duration of 6 months, extendable up to 2.5 years subject to fund availability. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is applicable as per rules.
Interview Date: 29 June 2026, at the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Bhawan (3rd floor, Medical College Building), AIIMS Bhopal. Candidates must report by 10:00 AM.

Selection Process: Interview by selection committee; if more than 20 candidates appear, a 20-mark MCQ written test will be conducted (qualifying marks: SC/ST 40%, UR/OBC/EWS 50%), with top 5 candidates called for interview.
Key Terms: Purely contractual with no claim to regular absorption in AIIMS Bhopal or ICMR. Termination possible with 30 days’ notice from either side. No TA/DA, no accommodation provided. Canvassing leads to disqualification.
