Recruitment for Assistant Professor Position

Position Summary

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, through Krantisinh Nana Patil Govt. College of Food Technology, Path, Sangli, has issued Notification No. KNP CFT/ACD/Notification/Contrac Lec./146/2026 dated 12/06/2026, inviting applications for the posts of Assistant Professors across seven disciplines, purely on a temporary and contractual basis for eleven months.

Posts and Qualifications: 1) Food Process Technology (1 post) – Ph.D. or Master’s in Food Technology/Food Process Technology or equivalent with NET/SLET/SET; 2) Food Quality Assurance (1 post) – same qualification as above; 3) Food Engineering (1 post) – Ph.D. or Master’s in Agril. Process Engg./Process and Food Engg./Food Process Engg. with NET/SLET/SET; 4) Food Plant Operation (1 post) – same as Food Process Technology; 5) English Language (1 post) – Ph.D. or M.A. in English with NET/SLET/SET; 6) Botany (1 post) – Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Agril. Botany or relevant discipline with NET/SLET/SET; 7) Mathematics (1 post) – Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mathematics with NET/SLET/SET.

Pay: Fixed Rs. 45,000/- per month for candidates holding a valid Ph.D., or Rs. 25,000/- per month for candidates holding only a relevant master’s degree. NET/SLET/SET is not required where not conducted for that discipline; master’s-only candidates are considered only if qualified candidates are unavailable.

Nature of Work: conducting theory/practical classes, academic duties as directed by the University, counselling, examination/admission/cultural and sports cell duties, and other assigned tasks.

Terms: appointment is purely temporary/contractual for a maximum of 11 months or until the post is filled on regular establishment; candidates must submit a bond undertaking and apply on plain paper as per the proforma to the Associate Dean, RCSM Govt. College of Agriculture, Kolhapur, by 12.07.2026, with a processing fee of Rs. 500/-. No permanency benefits accrue from this contractual appointment.
