Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow position for a project titled- “Yeast Enophytes for Nitrogen Fixation in Rice and Maize”

Position Summary

Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Directorate of Research, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, has issued Notification No. DR/S-1959(Int.)/26/677 , signed by Prof. Gautam Saha, Director of Research, inviting plain-paper applications from eligible candidates for engagement of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF), 1 position, on a temporary basis.

Project: “YENFARM” – Yeast Enophytes for Nitrogen Fixation in Rice and Maize (Code: 30931), working place at BCKV, sponsored by the Gates Foundation.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Soil Science. Desirable Qualification/Experience: experience in breeding/nutrient management related work on Maize and handling of NGS data.

Tenure/Period: Up to 31.03.2030 or actual date of termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

Fellowship/Remuneration: Rs. 37,000/- per month (Fixed) for the first two years, and Rs. 42,000/- (Fixed) for the remaining years.
