Project Technical Support III position for a project titled- “Multi-centric study on Prevalence, Antimicrobial Resistance, Disinfectant Efficacy, and Genomic Characterization of Nontuberculous Tuberculosis Mycobacteria (PARDiG-NTM Study)”

Position Summary

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, has issued Advertisement No. AIIMS/BBN/RES/EM-F/2026/54/Rect/1 dated 12-06-2026 for the post of Project Technical Support III (1 post) on a contractual basis, under the ICMR-funded project “Multi-centric study on Prevalence, Antimicrobial Resistance, Disinfectant Efficacy, and Genomic Characterization of Nontuberculous Tuberculosis Mycobacteria (PARDiG-NTM Study)” (IIRPSG-2025-01-05288), under Principal Investigator Dr. Rudresh SM, Additional Professor, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Bibinagar, Telangana.

Salary: Rs. 28,000 per month plus HRA as admissible. Nature of Employment: Contractual. Duration of Employment: up to 12-02-2027 (extendable up to 12-02-2029, subject to ICMR approval). Job Location: Department of Microbiology, AIIMS-Bibinagar, Telangana.

Essential Qualifications: Three years of a graduate degree (BSc/BTech/BSc MLT) in Microbiology/Biotechnology plus three years of experience, OR a Postgraduate degree (MSc/MTech/MSc MLT) in Microbiology/Biotechnology.

Desirable Experience: preference to candidates with experience in ICMR/DHR/CSIR/DBT projects; experience in media preparation, specimen collection for NTM, handling clinical specimens, microscopy, culture under BSL2+/3 conditions, MGIT 960 handling, molecular techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis), aseptic handling, biosafety practices, and basic data entry/analysis.

Job Description: completing work assigned by PI/Co-PI, molecular work, writing research articles, developing new research projects, and handling project documents.
