Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – IIT (BHU) Varanasi, Department of Biochemical Engineering

IIT (BHU) Varanasi is recruiting one JRF for a DBT-funded project in biopolymer science and sustainable materials.

Project Details:

Position Details:

• Vacancies: 1
• Emoluments: ₹37,000/month + 20% HRA (HRA as per institute rules if campus accommodation is not provided)
• Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project

Eligibility:

• Essential: First class in M.Tech. in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Bioprocess Engineering/Technology, Chemical Engineering/Technology, or Industrial Microbiology; OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Food Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetic Science/Engineering, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, or Environmental Technology — with GATE/NET or equivalent national-level examination qualification
• Desirable: Research experience and hands-on expertise in biomaterials, biodegradable polymers, extraction and modification of cellulose nanocrystals (CNC), and functional characterization of biopolymer-based materials with strong experimental and analytical aptitude. Preference given to candidates with national-level exam qualifications (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, DBT-BET, ICMR-JRF) and relevant research publications or experience in biopolymer technology
