Position Summary
CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Uppal Road, Habsiguda, Hyderabad, has issued Notification No. 0626/A dated 17.06.2026, inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for three temporary, contractual positions. I) Project Associate-II (PAT-II) – 1 position (Post Code 010626A), under project GAP0592 “Structural Investigations into the Functions of Orphan Glutamate Delta Receptors” (PI: Dr. Janesh Kumar; ends 31/12/2027). Area: whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology, membrane protein biochemistry, structural biology. Essential Qualification: Master’s in Natural Sciences or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology/Medicine with 2 years’ relevant experience. Upper age limit: 35 years. Emoluments: Rs. 35,000 + HRA for NET/GATE-qualified or national-exam-selected candidates; Rs. 28,000 + HRA for others.
II) Project Scientist-I – 1 position (Post Code 020626A), same project (GAP0592), area: Electrophysiology. Essential Qualification: PhD with 4 years’ research experience; desirable experience in patch clamp, pulled-patch, slice recording with peer-reviewed publications. Upper age limit: 35 years. Emoluments: Rs. 56,000 + HRA.
III) Project JRF – 2 positions (Post Code 030626A), under project GAP000685 “Anti-microbial and immune functions of a lipid droplet resident immunity-related protein” (PI: Dr. Santosh Chauhan; ends 22 March 2029). Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences plus NET/GATE or national-level exam selection; desirable 1 year experience in molecular biology, cell biology, or virology. Upper age limit: 35 years. Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 + HRA.
General conditions: no TA/DA, no regular leave (1 day/month allowed), engagement tied to project tenure (max 5 years cumulative), one-month termination notice, working hours 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, and result-awaited candidates are ineligible.
