Position of Junior Research Fellow under the project Development of high-moisture meat analogue from protein isolated from tamarind seed and oat okara with improved nutritional and sensory attributes

Position Summary

The Office of the Dean, Research & Development, Tezpur University (A Central University), Tezpur, Assam, has issued an Advertisement for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-sponsored research project entitled “Development of high-moisture meat analogue from protein isolated from tamarind seed and oat okara with improved nutritional and sensory attributes,” under Principal Investigator Prof. Nandan Sit, Department of Food Engineering and Technology.

Vacancy: 1 post (JRF), purely temporary.

Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA as admissible.

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years on the last date of receipt of applications, with relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Duration: Up to 25.03.2029, or till completion of the project, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualifications: B.Tech./M.Tech./Integrated M.Tech./M.Sc. in Food Process Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology, Food Science and Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines; AND GATE or NET (UGC/CSIR/ICAR) qualification, or equivalent national-level examinations conducted by central government departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a blended mode (hybrid) interview. Shortlisting will be based on academic credentials (10th onwards), relevant experience, NET/GATE qualification, and peer-reviewed publications.
