Young Professional – II position for a project titled- ” All-India Network Programme on Genome Editing Technology for Improvement in Livestock Health and Production (AINP-GETILHP)”

Position Summary

ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, has announced a Walk-in-Interview for the selection of a purely temporary/short-term post under the All-India Network Programme on Genome Editing Technology for Improvement in Livestock Health and Production (AINP-GETILHP), to be held on 30th June 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU), Division of Veterinary Biotechnology, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar. The position is initially for ONE year, which may be extended as per rule, or co-terminus with the project completion, whichever is earlier.

The post is Young Professional-II (YP-II), with 01 (one) vacancy. The essential qualification is a Post-Graduate degree in Life Science (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Bioinformatics/Biochemistry or its equivalent), OR a Graduate degree in Agriculture Science/Technology (including all Agriculture & allied sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Science). The age limit is minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years. Desirable qualifications include working experience in routine bacteriology and viral techniques, molecular biology (PCR, genome extraction) with special reference to Genome Editing, and experience in the field of vaccine/diagnostics. The emoluments are Rs. 42,000/- consolidated, and the place of posting is the Center of Excellence in GET, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar.

Candidates fulfilling the essential qualification may appear directly in the Walk-in-Interview and are required to bring recent bio-data, original documents, one photocopy of self-attested mark sheets and degree certificates, and two passport-size photographs. The positions are purely temporary with no provision for absorption/re-employment after contract termination; service automatically stands terminated with termination of the contract/project.
