About the Role: Faculty of Science School of Biological Sciences Impact Lecturer in Medical Microbiology Ref: ATR1736 Salary on appointment will be £48,822 per annum, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum. As part of our continued investment in the School of Biological Sciences (BIO) at UEA, we seek to recruit a talented and motivated Lecturer. This appointment will add to a thriving research area within BIO and foster interdisciplinary collaborative work across the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and our partner institutes on the Norwich Research Park. Successful candidates will be expected to develop an internationally competitive research programme that complements existing research strengths within the School. The specific research areas for this post are medical microbiology with a specific focus on developing non-academic impact. Lecturer in Medical Education (Cell & Immunobiology)

About the Role: Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences Norwich Medical School Lecturer in Medical Education (Cell & Immunobiology) Ref: ATS1345 Salary on appointment will be £48,822 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum. An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join Norwich Medical School to deliver lectures and seminars and carry out teaching-related duties. The role centres on teaching key principles of cell biology, inflammation and immunity to undergraduate pre-medical and medical students, with a strong focus on the application of these subjects to medicine. The post will primarily support the BSc Clinical Sciences course, aimed at pre-clinical training of overseas fee-paying students, and may also include teaching on the MB BS and additional courses. Teaching will be closely aligned with modules covering chemistry and biochemistry, requiring close teamwork with these Module Leads. The role requires design and development of modules and associated practicals, along with appropriate assessment strategies. You will also be part of the Senior Advising and Assessment teams in the Department of Medical Education at Norwich Medical School, with a specific focus on the BSc Clinical Sciences course. The Senior Adviser plays an important role in coordinating support for students on several areas including academic, disability and pastoral issues. As part of the Assessment team, the post-holder will contribute to the delivery, development, and evaluation of student assessment. The Department of Biochemistry is recruiting two Associate Professors in the areas of molecular mechanisms involved in fundamental cellular processes, focused on prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells or model organisms. Full Professorship (W3) for “Modeling of Biological Processes” (f/m/d) at the BioQuant Center for Quantitative Analysis of Molecular and Cellular Biosystems to be filled with a starting date of October 1, 2026. We seek an outstanding candidate to head a research group at BioQuant that addresses fundamental questions in theoretical and computational modeling of biological processes. The activities of the research group should complement the existing groups at BioQuant, particularly through contributions to the Cluster of Excellence “SynthImmune”. About the position As a specialist in surgery at UDS, you will primarily work in the surgery department, postoperative care unit, and ICU. You will provide clinical services in a broad range of surgery cases; orthopaedics, soft tissue, and neurosurgery cases. You are part of our surgical team, which works with excellent veterinary care, teaching, and research. Subject description The subject covers aquaculture with a focus on nutrition, physiology, and welfare of farmed fish, primarily salmonids, in circular production systems. The focus is on sustainable food production in line with the One Health and One Welfare concepts. Duties The applicant will be expected to: develop and lead internationally successful research; develop, lead and participate in teaching at first, second and third cycle level; primarily teach within the subbject, in addition to other components at first, second and third cycle level covering the subject; develop and maintain national and international networks with academia, the relevant public authorities, industry, organisations and society at large; collaborate with other SLU research teams to strengthen interdisciplinary activities at the university; apply for external research funding from both national and international sources; supervise doctoral students; contribute to the strategic development of the department, faculty and SLU; communicate research findings and other relevant information to society at large; perform administrative duties within the department, faculty and university. Grounds of assessment The assessment of research expertise will be based on: completed and ongoing research and its relevance and development potential for the faculty and department; the ability to independently initiate and run successful and internationally-recognised research; the ability to compete for external research funding; experience of the role of principal supervisor for third-cycle courses and study programmes. As a principal supervisor, the applicant should have supervised doctoral students throughout their studies and until they are awarded their doctoral degree. The following will be taken into consideration when assessing teaching expertise: planning, implementation, examination and assessment of teaching and education; the ability to integrate research and scientific approaches into teaching work; supervision and examination of first, second, and third cycle courses; training in teaching and learning in higher education or the equivalent knowledge; pedagogic vision and reflection. The following abilities will also be assessed: developing and leading activities and staff within academia; communicating and collaborating internally; collaborating with external stakeholders and society at large; communicating work with research and development. The appointment will be offered to the applicant who, following a qualitative comprehensive assessment, is deemed to have the best skills set to conduct and develop the duties in question, and contribute to the positive development of the organisation. Your job The chair group Behavioural Ecology at Wageningen University is offering a position as Lecturer in Behavioural Ecology. As a lecturer, you will contribute to teaching BSc- and MSc-level courses on Animal Behaviour, Animal Ecology, Behavioural Ecology, and related fields.
