Positions available for the post of one (1) Senior Project Associate-I under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – India (A Statutory body of the Government of India) sponsored project entitled “Development of integrated approaches to combat destructive tea gray blight disease in India by combining outcomes of pathogen molecular diversity, fungicide sensitivity, microbial antagonists, and virulence factors”  (File Number: ANRF/ARG/2025/006382/LS) at Plant Immunity Laboratory, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Project Duration: 3 years or co-terminus with project

Position details: Senior Project Associate-I

No of post: 01(One)

Monthly Fellowship: 57,000/- + HRA

Essential Qualification: 
Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent and four years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services 
OR
Doctoral Degree in Plant Science from a recognized University or equivalent

Desirable qualification:
Expertise in fungal molecular biology, genetics, genomics, transcriptomics, and plant–fungus interactions, including genome sequencing, assembly, annotation, and RNA-seq analysis. Hands-on experience in fungal transformation, gene knockout/knockdown, mutant generation, effector identification, and functional validation. Skilled in fungal pathogenicity assays, host–pathogen studies, bioinformatics, sequence analysis, gene expression, phylogenetics, and functional annotation. Strong in integrating wet-lab and computational approaches for experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and research publications.
