IISER Tirupati is recruiting one Research Associate on a contract basis for a project in Plant Stress Biology.

Project Details:

• Project Title: “Elucidating mechanisms underlying priming-mediated stress tolerance in plants”

• Research Area: Plant Stress Biology

Fellowship:

• ₹58,000/month + 9% HRA — for candidates with PhD certificate in hand
• ₹42,000/month + 9% HRA — for candidates awaiting PhD degree (must submit a letter from a competent authority confirming thesis submission and pending viva/defense)
• A nominal research grant will also be available

Eligibility:

• Essential: PhD in any area of Plant Sciences (Life Sciences/Molecular Biology with plant research focus) or Bioinformatics/Computational Biology with plant science experience
• Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the degree may also apply
• Evidence of high-quality research during or after PhD is required
• Desirable: Experience in bioinformatics and/or advanced molecular biology techniques

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 30 June 2026.

Tenure: Initially 6 months, extendable annually based on fund availability and satisfactory performance review. No right to permanent absorption at IISER Tirupati.
