Research Associate-II – IISER Pune (Advt. No. 44/2026)
IISER Pune, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, is recruiting one Research Associate-II on a temporary contractual basis for a DBT-funded project in the area of plant molecular biology and biotechnology.
Project Details:
- Project Title: “Exploring a high-throughput combinatorial approach using heterologous promoters and endogenous signal peptides to enhance commercially important protein production in moss (Physcomitrium patens)”

Position Details:
- Vacancies: 1
- Emoluments: ₹61,000/month + 27% HRA
- Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable based on satisfactory performance and project continuation
- No right to permanent absorption at IISER Pune or the funding agency
Eligibility:
- Essential: PhD in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Botany, or Science with minimum 1 year of relevant post-doctoral research experience
- Preferred: Research experience in Recombinant DNA techniques, molecular biology, protein purification studies, and BP-LR based cloning
Job Role: The selected candidate will be expected to carry out high-throughput BP-LR based cloning, moss protoplast transformation, downstream protein purification, and analysis of related assays.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications or experience, with prior approval of the competent authority.
