Position Summary
The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ), NH-8, Bandarsindri, Kishangarh, Distt. Ajmer, Rajasthan, invites eligible candidates to walk-in interviews for the contractual appointment of Assistant Professors across various academic departments for the academic session 2026–27 (Advt. No. CURAJ/R/F.176/Rectt./2026/5996, dated 22 June 2026). Appointments are purely contractual, up to the last working day of the session or until further orders, whichever is earlier, with a consolidated salary of ₹60,000 per month and no other benefits.
The departments and categories advertised include Mathematics (SC-01), Physics (UR-01 & OBC-01), Economics (EWS-01), Yoga (UR-01, specialization in Yoga Therapy/Yogic Science), Health Sciences (UR-01 & SC-01), Hotel & Tourism Management (UR-01 & OBC-01), Linguistics (OBC-01), Pharmacy (UR-01 & ST-01), Vocational Studies and Skill Development – Mechanical (UR-01) and Electronics & Communication (OBC-01), Sports Psychology (UR-01), and Architecture (UR-01).
The general eligibility is a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with the prescribed percentages (typically 55% at Master’s and 60% in two preceding exams for UR, with relaxation for reserved categories) plus NET in the relevant subject; a Ph.D. awarded per Para 4.1(I)(A)(ii) of UGC Regulations 2018 exempts the NET requirement. Professional/discipline-specific criteria apply for Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Engineering/Vocational, and Architecture posts. Of note for life-science candidates, the Health Sciences department accepts Master’s in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pathology, Life Sciences, MLT, or allied disciplines with NET in Life Sciences (Ph.D. desirable).
The walk-in interview dates range from 2 to 16 July 2026 (10:00 AM) at the respective Schools — for example, Pharmacy on 6 July; Mathematics and Physics on 7 July; Health Sciences, Architecture, and Engineering on 8 July; Yoga and Sports Psychology on 9 July; Linguistics on 10 July.
