Position Summary
The Department of Urology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications for one Project Technical Support-II position in a sanctioned research project funded by ICMR, New Delhi, titled “Exploring nuclear encoded mitochondrial genes in regulation of OXPHOS activity and its implication in metastasis and patients’ survival outcome in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC)” (Project Code P-14/0818). The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, with a maximum duration of three years.
The fellowship is a fixed ₹20,000 per month plus 20% HRA. The upper age limit is 35 years for the general category, relaxable by 3 years for OBC and by 5 years for SC/ST, physically handicapped, and female candidates, as per Government of India rules.
The essential qualification is a 3-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject plus 2 years of experience in a relevant subject, OR a first-class 12th in Science with a Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering) plus five years of experience in the relevant subject/field. Desirable qualifications include a postgraduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular & Human Genetics, Zoology, Animal Science, or Life Sciences, with experience in fundamental techniques in cell and molecular biology, cancer biology, and proficiency in data analysis and biostatistics.
