Project Research Scientist-l (Non-Medical) position for a project titled- “Copy number variations (CNVs) based novel diagnostic biomarkers of human male infertility”

Position Summary

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications for one Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position in a sanctioned research project funded by ICMR, New Delhi, titled “Copy number variations (CNVs) based novel diagnostic biomarkers of human male infertility” (Project No. P-14/0273). The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, with a maximum duration of one year.

The fellowship is a fixed ₹56,000 per month plus 20% HRA. The upper age limit is 35 years, relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates; all things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GoI rules.

The essential qualification is one of the following: (1) a First Class Postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees; (2) a Second Class Postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees, with a PhD; or (3) for Engineering/IT/CS, a First Class four-year Graduate degree. Desirable qualifications give preference to candidates with experience in human semen sample examination and NGS data analysis.
