Duration
12 months initially (Extendable based on performance & requirements). The post is purely temporary, contractual, and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility
Essential:

• Degree: B.Sc. in Agriculture or B.Sc. in Botany /Forestry / Life Sciences from a recognized university

Requirements
Desirable:

• Field Work: Practical experience in conducting field surveys and data collection.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of in laboratory including physical analysis, bio-chemical analysis, microbial analysis, data analysis, research communication and computer.
• Reporting: Proficiency in preparing technical reports, project documentation, and handling MS Office.
• Language known: Able to speak Nepali/Bengali beside Hindi and English language.

Age Limit
Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years (Relaxation as per GOI/ICAR rules)

Core Job Responsibilities

• Surveys: Perform extensive field surveys and collection of baseline vegetation data, samples along the specified layout.
• Skills on field extension work and training of farming communities.
• Laboratory analysis: Analysis of collected sample in physical, bio-chemical parameters, microbial analysis, soil health analysis.
• Documentation: Draft comprehensive technical progress reports and maintain all experimental records.
• Liaison: Direct day-to-day coordination with IARI-RS Kalimpong officials and farming communities as per the institutional requirements.
