Tenure
01 (One) year only OR co-terminus with the project and extendable for two more years (01 year at a time) subject to requirement of the services of the YP in the organization and satisfactory performance.

Location
ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore or as per project requirement. Selected candidates will be stationed at Barrackpore or at project sites as required from time to time and will have to conduct extensive field work involving frequent travel, laboratory works and survey of different sites for sample collection.

Eligibility

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible for applying for engagement.
  • Graduate in Fisheries Science / Aquaculture / Zoology.
  • Candidates must send Certificate / Provisional Certificate with final year mark-sheets (Mandatory) in respect of Graduation & Post Graduation Qualification, or their application will be summarily rejected.

Desirable

  • Hilsa fish identification, Socio-economic analysis, Laboratory genome analysis, Laboratory based physiochemical analysis of soil / water.

Salary
Rs. 30,000/- per month (Fixed)

Age Limit
The minimum age under Young Professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Last Date
Within 21 (twenty one) days from the date of publication of Vacancy Notice in the newspaper. (Date of notification: 16-07-2026)
