Project Details

• Project Title: Ultra-High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography -High Resolution Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer
• About the Project: Central facility: UHPLC-MSMS (including UHPLC-HR-Orbitrap-MS and UHPLC-HR-QQQ-MS) at ESED, IIT Bombay.

Eligibility

• BTech / BE in [Environmental Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering] or equivalent degree
• OR MSc in [Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science]
• OR B.Sc. in [Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science] or equivalent degree with 2 years relevant experience
• OR 3-year Diploma in [Environmental Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering] with 5 years of relevant experience
• OR In exceptional cases those with ITI (2-year course) in a trade in [Lab. Asst. (Chem. Plant) / Water Supply and Sanitary Engineering / Civil Engineering/ Chemical] with more than 8 years of relevant experience may be considered with prior approval and justification. Skill Test will be required.
• Qualifying degree(s) must be from a recognized University /Institute.

Requirements

• Responsible to ensure proper operation and utilization of following central facilities housed in ESED: (1) Ultra-High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography -High Resolution Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer, and (2) Ultra-High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography -High Resolution Triple Quadrupoles Mass Spectrometer. Any additional facility may also be assigned.
• Committed support in day to day activities of these facilities, including slot allocation, maintenance of proper records and log book, instrument calibration, sample analysis and report generation etc.
• Knowledge and adherence to safety guidelines, regulations, and best laboratory practices
• Support in preventive and regular maintenance
• Procurement related to the facilities
• Development of protocols and standard operating procedures
• Support in conducting workshop and training for the facilities

Salary
Level PR-A3: Salary range (35400 – 112400) per month + other allowances as applicable. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
