Technical Assistant position in Microscopy with a focus on Electron Microscopy

Your tasks

• Performing electron microscopic examinations including energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) as well as sample preparation and management
• Troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance of the electron microscope and other laboratory equipment
• Instruction of users in basic image analysis
• Participation in procedures for complying with safety-related regulations
• Fulfilling documentation requirements
• Communication with external companies and service providers regarding repairs, orders, service visits, etc.

Your profile

• Successfully completed training as a medical technical assistant (MTA), biological technical assistant (BTA), or chemical technical assistant (CTA).
• Experience in preparing samples for electron microscopy and knowledge of the principles and methods of electron microscopy
• Knowledge of energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with common office software (MS Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
• Willingness to learn while working
• Excellent English and German skills (spoken and written) at B2 level.
