Senior Research Fellow position for a project entitled “Role of iron in lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in microglia”

Applications are invited for One (1) post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) funded by the Department of Biotechnology to work on the project entitled “Role of iron in lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in microglia”. The project is likely to be continued up to November 2027.

Qualification: The project needs rigorous work involving gene expression in microglia/macrophages and iron homeostasis. Candidates having excellent experience on techniques on molecular and cell biology related to iron homeostasis, and gene expression should apply.

Essential: M.Sc or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with at least two years of research experience in the area of mammalian gene expression related to iron homeostasis, working experience with mammalian cell culture and primary cells.

Desirable: At least one publication (preferably first author) in the related area.

Fellowship: As per DBT approval + HRA (as permissible)
