Senior Research Fellow for a project titled- “National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture”

Position Summary

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar, invites applications for one purely temporary, contractual Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under the project “National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture” (NICRA), based at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jale, Darbhanga (Advt. No. 03/RPCAU/Temp./2026).

The post offers a monthly emolument of ₹37,000 plus HRA (as applicable). The age limit is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years.

The essential qualification is an M.Sc. in any discipline of Agricultural Science (e.g., Agricultural Extension, Economics, Statistics, Soil Science, Agronomy, Breeding, Entomology, Pathology, Horticulture, or Biotechnology) with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree. Alternatively, candidates holding a Postgraduate degree in Basic Science (with a 3-year Bachelor’s and 2-year Master’s) are eligible, provided they have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. Desirable experience includes field surveys, conducting trials/demonstrations, data collection, training, developing technical literature, data analysis, report writing, and proficiency in computers and data management.

Recruitment is through a walk-in interview on 4 July 2026 (Saturday) at 9:00 AM in the Directorate of Extension Education, RPCAU, Pusa. Candidates must report at least half an hour before the scheduled time and bring a printed, duly filled application form (in the prescribed proforma), along with originals and self-attested copies of all documents relating to date of birth, educational qualifications, and experience. Applicants should also carry five copies of an updated, signed short CV (max 2 pages) and two recent passport-size photographs.

The post is co-terminus with the project, initially offered until 30 September 2026 (or earlier on project/fund termination), extendable on satisfactory performance. No TA/DA is provided, and selection confers no claim to regular absorption. Incomplete or unsigned applications will be rejected.
