Project Assistant position under the project D connect – A road map for Augmented Livestock Health of Tamil Nadu
Position Summary Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, has announced a Walk-in Interview for the position of Project Associate-I under the Self-Financing Scheme on “Feed and Fodder Technology.” Vacancy: 1 post (purely temporary), initially for three years, extendable based on performance and project requirements. Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Veterinary/Animal Science/Fisheries in any subject, or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences with PG Diploma in Feed Manufacturing Technology, or B.Tech. in Poultry Production Technology/Food Processing/Agricultural Engineering/Fisheries Engineering, with minimum 55% marks. Desirable Qualifications: M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition/Livestock Products Technology, M.F.Sc. in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology, or M.Tech in related fields; computer/accounting software proficiency; experience in feed mills/food processing units; research experience in feed technology; NET/GATE qualification; and proficiency in Tamil (read, write, speak). Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month for candidates who have passed NET/GATE/ICAR NET or other approved tests; Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others. Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on the closing date, with 5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and other special categories. Selection Process: A written test (MCQ, 45 minutes, 30 marks, English) covering feed/fodder technology topics will be conducted, with a minimum 50% required to proceed to the interview. Final selection is based on written test marks, qualifications, experience, and interview performance. Interview Date: 22.06.2026 (Monday) at 9:30 A.M. at the Department of Animal Nutrition, VCRI, Mohanur Road, Namakkal. Candidates must bring a filled application with photo and self-attested documents; originals required at interview.
