Eligibility
Master’s degree in any relevant discipline, preferably related to Food, Agriculture, Life Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences or Indigenous Knowledge Systems, from a recognized University/Institution. Proficiency in spoken Garo language is essential.

Requirements
Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge/experience in field surveys, data collection and documentation.
• Familiarity with traditional knowledge, indigenous food systems and/or agricultural practices.
• Food sample collection, and analysis.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications and data compilation.
• Ability to interact with local communities and traditional knowledge holders.
• Willingness to undertake field visits, sample collection and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will assist in:

• Documentation and compilation of information related to the IKS Research Centre Project;
• Data collection, compilation and management;
• Coordination of analytical work and project-related activities;
• Conducting field surveys and community-level data collection;
• Interaction with traditional knowledge holders and documentation of traditional knowledge;
• Collection of samples required for project activities;
• Outreach and dissemination activities; and
• Any other work assigned by the Principal Investigator/Project Coordinator in connection with the project.
