Project Details

• Project Title: Development of the Hepatokine–Metabolic Stress (HEP-METS) Index and AI-Based Model for Early Detection of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Funding Agency: Chellaram Diabetes Research Centre (CDRC)
• Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Sagar Dholariya, Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Rajkot
• Duration of Employment: Initial appointment of 12 months, which may be extended until completion of the project based on performance, functional requirements, project continuation, availability of funds, and approval of the Competent Authority.

Salary

• Junior Research Assistant: Rs. 27,000/- (Consolidated without any allowances)
• Project Technical Support II: Rs. 24,000 (Rs 20000 + 20% HRA)

Eligibility
Junior Research Assistant:

• Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree in Biological Science or relevant subject / field subject
• Desirable: 1-year experience in relevant subject/field/Medical Laboratory; Working knowledge of Computer application (Excel/Word /Power point)

Project Technical Support II:

• Essential Qualification: 12th in science + Diploma (MLT/ DMLT or equivalent) + Five Years’ Experience in relevant subject / field (Medical Laboratory) OR Three Years Graduate degree in Biological Science or relevant subject / field + two years’ experience in medical laboratory/relevant subject
• Desirable: Working knowledge of computer applications (MS Office), blood sample collection, sample processing and analysis, data management, and electronic data handling

Age Limit

• Up to 35 years for both posts.
• Age relaxation: Relaxable for SC/ST candidates for a maximum of five years. Relaxable for OBC candidates up to a maximum of three years. Relaxable for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) candidates up to a maximum of ten years for General category, thirteen years for OBC category, and fifteen years for SC/ST category candidates.

Selection Process

• Written exam/skill test followed by interview.
• The interview will be conducted for up to six candidates per available post who secure the highest marks in the MCQ-based written test.
• Weightage: 80% written exam and 20% interview.
• Date of Interview: 14 September 2026
• Reporting time: 9 AM (Candidates reporting after 9 AM will not be considered)
• Venue: Demonstration Room, Department of Biochemistry, 2nd floor, Academic Block, AIIMS Rajkot
