Project Details
- Project Title: Simulation and Fabrication of MEMS Gas Sensor Platform
- About the Project: The proposed project will involve the modelling, design, and fabrication of existing micro-hot-plate based gas sensors and future sensors based on the thermal conductivity / thermal diffusivity type, and exploration of sensors based on electrochemical, thermoelectric, and other principles compatible with the MEMS hot plate approach.
Eligibility
- PhD OR MTech/ME/MDes or equivalent degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience OR BTech/BE/MA/MSc/MCA/MBA or equivalent degree with 6 years relevant experience.
- The qualifying degree(s) must be from a recognized University /Institute.
- The post will require a degree in relevant Engineering or Science field together with experience relevant to the project in one of more areas such as micro/nanofabrication, semiconductor processing, cleanroom experience, computational modelling using advanced simulation software, gas sensor design, test and characterization, MEMS design, electrical test and measurement techniques.
Requirements
- The post holder will be expected to take up responsibility for executing the research project, manage advanced laboratory and computational tasks, and supporting project deliverables under faculty supervision including regularly reporting on project progress and contributing to the archival of technical reports, research papers, and project deliverables.
- This will include the design and development of relevant micro/ nanofabrication processes, test and characterization of fabricated prototypes, and working together with other group members and industrial sponsors on gas sensor testing.
- The candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project.
