Website German Cancer Research Center
Our research group investigates how pancreatic cancer evolves and interacts with its immune microenvironment. We combine advanced mouse models, functional genomics, spatial biology, and single-cell technologies to uncover the mechanisms that drive tumor initiation, progression, immune evasion, and therapeutic resistance.
Your Tasks
You will work closely with scientists on projects investigating the molecular mechanisms of pancreatic cancer progression and immune regulation. Your work will involve a broad range of molecular, cellular, and immunological techniques, including tissue culture, molecular cloning, CRISPR-based genome editing, flow cytometry, histology, immunofluorescence, and the processing of mouse tissues. You will also contribute to the organization of the laboratory and management of biological samples, ensuring high standards of quality control and documentation.
The successful candidate will enjoy learning new techniques and be interested in a varied, independent, and responsible role in translational cancer research.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, and enjoys working as part of an interdisciplinary and international team. We offer the opportunity to learn state-of-the-art experimental techniques, receive comprehensive training, and contribute to cutting-edge research in cancer biology and immunology.
Applicants should have completed training as a biological technical assistant (BTA), biology laboratory technician, or hold an equivalent qualification. Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, immunological methods, or mouse work is desirable. Previous experience with laboratory organization and documentation is an advantage.
Your profile should include:
- High motivation, reliability, and flexibility
