The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB) in Martinsried near Munich is one of the world’s leading international research institutions in the fields of biochemistry, cell and structural biology, and biomedical research. In the department “Totipotency” (Prof. Kikue Tachibana, PhD), a position is available for a Scientific Manager (m/f/d) – full-time or part-time.
The laboratory is looking for a highly motivated scientific manager (m/f/d) to join the team. The primary research interests of the department are the chromatin reprogramming and gene regulatory mechanisms that underlie the establishment of totipotency during mammalian development.
Your responsibilities and tasks include
- Project coordination, management of third-party funding and reporting
- Assistance with preparation of manuscripts, research proposals and license applications
- Supporting recruitments
- Departmental organization duties
Other requirements are
- Degree in biology or equivalent experience in a related field
- Expertise in scientific writing is essential
- Previous experience in licence applications is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English
