Recruitment of Teaching Associate in the Department of Crop Physiology

Position Summary

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University’s Sri Mekapati Goutham Reddy Agricultural College (SMGR), Udayagiri, SPSR Nellore (Dt.), has announced a Walk-in Interview for the post of Teaching Associate in the Department of Crop Physiology, on contract and full-time basis.

Vacancy: 1 post, with a contract duration of 11 months from the date of joining, or until the regular post is filled, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must hold either a Ph.D. in the relevant subject, or a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject along with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s Degree with first division or equivalent overall grade point average. Applicants also need at least 3 years of relevant teaching/research experience, as evidenced through fellowships, associateships, training or other engagements, and must have published at least one research paper in an SCI-indexed or NAAS-rated (≥4.0) journal.

Remuneration: Ph.D. holders will receive Rs. 67,000/- per month plus applicable HRA, while M.Sc.(Ag) holders will receive Rs. 61,000/- per month plus applicable HRA.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years for male candidates and 45 years for female candidates.

Interview Details: The walk-in interview will be held on 18.06.2026 at 10:30 A.M. at SMGR Agricultural College, Udayagiri.

Key Terms and Conditions: The position is purely temporary and contractual, terminated after 11 months or upon filling of the regular post, whichever is earlier. The incumbent has no claim to regular appointment or further continuation of contractual service. Concealment of facts or canvassing leads to disqualification or termination. The engagement can be terminated anytime without prior notice, though candidates may resign by giving one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu. Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at their own expense to ensure physical fitness. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview, and the selection committee’s decision is final and binding. The Associate Dean reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview for any unavoidable reason.
