Project Title: Elucidating Molecular signatures of desert adaptation for risk stratification during transition of natives and migrants of the Thar Desert for precision medicine.

Consolidated Compensation: Rs.42000 (Upto)

Essential Qualifications/Experiance: MSC/Mtech (Gate/NET qualified) in Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering/Genomics/ Life sciences, including a minimum of 02 yrs of research experience in a relevant field.

Desirable Qualifications/Experiance: Candidate with experience in handling DNA/RNA sequencing and NGS as well as field experience in collecting and processing samples.

Tenure (in months): 12 Project

Info: The project is aimed to understand the adaptation and migration of the Thar native population using multi-omic approaches. The project combines genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, biochemical as well as anthropological aspects. The project utilizes the high-throughput sequencing technologies and big data analysis.

Job Info: DNA/RNA isolation, high-throughput sequencing and analysis, sample collection and processing and handling high-end equipment like NGS and also managing lab procurement.
