Eligibility
Essential:

• Master’s degree in the relevant subject including relevant basic sciences with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point.
• Evidence of having cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR, ASRB, UGC, CSIR. (NET shall not be required in disciplines for which NET is not conducted)

Or

• Ph. D in relevant subject with published Research papers in scientific journals.

Desirable:

• Experience of teaching Under Graduate/Post Graduate students.

Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 40 years as on the last date of submission of application form. Age relaxation will be as per Government of India norms (3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD, as applicable).
Employees working against Teaching/ related Posts as contractual staff at Central Agricultural University, Imphal or any other Govt. organization / Public institution will get relaxations in upper age limit to a maximum of 5 (five) years.

Applications are invited in the prescribed online format for filling up the posts of Assistant Professor.
The application form, along with all relevant documents, must be submitted only through the online portal available on the University website: www.cau.ac.in.
The online submission portal is open from 25th June, 2026 and will remain accessible till 13th July, 2026 (last date).
An application fee of Rs. 1,000/- is applicable for UR/OBC candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees. The fee, wherever applicable, must be paid online only.

The total number of pages of uploaded documents should not exceed 120 pages and must be submitted as a single PDF file not exceeding 60 MB in size.
Separate application (along with application fee) should be submitted for each post applied for.
