Unravel the functional role of MYB96 transcription factors for improvement of drought tolerance and oil content in oilseed crops Indian mustard and groundnut
Description
Generate transgenic groundnut lines for trait improvement.
Eligibility
- Essential: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.Sc. in Botany / Life sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Agricultural sciences / Plant sciences (OR) equivalent degree.
- Essential: Two years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
- Desirable: Experience in Plant Tissue culture and Plant Molecular Biology.
Salary
- Rs. 42,000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated) for candidates with National Eligibility Tests CSIR / UGC NET-JRF or DBT JRF, GATE or a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 33,000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated) for others who do not fall under the above criteria.
Tenure
The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Not more than 50 years as of the closing date of the application.
