Salary

• Candidates with National Eligibility Tests-CSIR/UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE: Rs. 37,000/- per month + 16% HRA (per month as per ANRF guidelines)
• Candidates without National Eligibility Tests-CSIR/UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE: Rs. 30,000/- per month + 16% HRA

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree (B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Tech/B.Sc.) in any relevant discipline of life science from a recognized University.
• M.V.Sc. (Livestock Products Technology/Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology / Dairy Technology) OR Post-graduate degree in relevant subjects (Food Science and Technology/Food Process Engineering/ or other relevant subjects).
• Must have minimum 65% marks or 6.5/10.0 OCPA in PG and 60% marks or 6.0/10.0 OCPA in UG.
• Candidates having knowledge of Punjabi up to the matric level (this condition is relaxed if the candidate is found otherwise deserving).

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference to be given to candidates with prior experience in the development of biodegradable films, nanocomposites, quality control and microbiological assessment of foods.

Job Responsibilities

• Research duties according to the project’s objectives, including but not limited to development of biodegradable packaging, quality evaluation of nanomaterials, livestock products etc.
• Candidates can be assigned job responsibilities for other ongoing lab work in the department.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the department.

Age Limit
50 years (as of date of application) as per the guidelines of funding agency.

Tenure
Purely temporary and on a contract basis for six months (subject to renewal) or valid till the availability of funds, whichever is earlier and co-terminus with the project.
