Teaching Associate / Teaching Assistant (on contract as full time on purely temporary Contract basis) in the Department of Food Processing Technology

Salary

• Teaching Associate (Master’s Degree holders): Rs. 61,000/- + HRA per month
• Teaching Associate (Ph.D. Degree holders): Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month
• Teaching Assistant: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month
• HRA will be given as per the existing state Government rates applicable in various Places / locations and subjected to change from time as per Government order

Eligibility
Teaching Associate:

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject OR Master’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Technology and Management with at least 55% or its equivalent grade
• B.Tech (Food Technology) of 4/5 years having first division or equivalent overall grade point average
• Experience for at least 3 years of respective teaching/ research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate ship /Training /Other engagements
• Published One research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (>=4.0) Journal

Teaching Assistant (to be selected if candidate with required qualifications and experience for Teaching Associate is not available in the Walk-in-interview):

• Master’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Technology and Management with at least 55% or its equivalent grade
• B.Tech (Food Technology) of 4/5 years having first division or equivalent overall grade point average
• 2 Years of Teaching / research experience

Requirements

• The engagement is purely on temporary and contractual basis which will be terminated after completion of 11 months or filling of regular staff, whichever is earlier
• The incumbent shall not have any claim or right to claim for any regular appointment in University / any government organization, or for further continuation of contractual service
• Selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination at their own expenses as per the rules for ensuring their physical fitness before appointment
• Candidate has to present a topic of their choice for 2-3 minutes on Blackboard

Age Limit
Teaching Associate:

• 40 years for Men
• 45 years for Women

Teaching Assistant:

• 35 years for Men
• 40 years for Women
