Senior Project Associate – CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh (FTC-010604)

CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (CSIR-IMTECH), Chandigarh is recruiting one Senior Project Associate for the project titled “Scaleup and validation of plasmonic photothermal based sterilizer for a batch of large surgical tools” (Project Code: FTC-010604). The project focuses on developing and validating an advanced sterilization technology using plasmonic photothermal methods for surgical instruments — a highly applied research area with direct healthcare relevance.

Position Details:

• Vacancies: 1
• Stipend: ₹42,000/month + HRA
• Location: CSIR-IMTECH, Sector 39-A, Chandigarh

Eligibility — Either of the following:

Option I:

• Masters/Integrated Masters in Natural, Agricultural, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, MVSc, or Animal Sciences with 3 years of R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions or science and technology organisations

Option II:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine with 3 years of R&D experience, OR
• Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology, OR
• Doctoral degree (PhD/MD/MS) in Science or Pharma — with 2 years of R&D experience in industrial/academic or science and technology organisations

Desirable: Candidates with a background in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences having research experience in BSL-2 facility work, handling drug-resistant pathogens, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, microbiological assays, biological efficacy evaluation, and microscopy techniques.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
