Your Responsibilities
- Strengthening the research focus on “lipid metabolism” through independent research in the field of lipid and energy metabolism
- Collaborating with established research groups within the “BioTechMed-Graz” initiative
- Independently developing and establishing new methods
- Contribution to teaching in the fields of Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry (Bachelor, Master)
- Co-supervision of students in the context of master’s theses and dissertations
- Assistance with organizational and administrative tasks
Your Profile
- Completed doctoral/Ph.D. degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
- International publications in the field of lipid and energy metabolism
- Expertise in working with mice as a model organism (Felasa B certificate or equivalent)
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of lipid metabolism, particularly lipases and acyltransferases
- Expertise in the cultivation of mammalian cells
- Experience working with radioactive isotopes and LC-MS-based lipidomics
- Didactic aptitude for contributing to teaching in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Good command of German and English
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, reliability, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team
