Presentation
The mission of the Genomic Technologies Facility (GTF) is to provide users with shared access to state-of-the-art genomics technologies, as well as advanced support for experimental design, project execution, and data analysis.
The team consists of around ten scientists working across both laboratory and data analysis activities. These activities include the production of genomic data using established protocols, as well as the development—design and optimization—of new methodological approaches.
In this context, the laboratory technician will be responsible for carrying out various types of genomics experiments submitted to the platform (short-read sequencing, long-read sequencing, single-cell genomics). She/He will also contribute to the development and validation of new methods in line with technological advances and user needs.

Your responsibilities
In your functions, you will have to :
- Perform quality control assessments on samples provided by platform users (RNA, DNA, or sequencing libraries)
- Prepare sequencing libraries from various types of biological material (RNA, DNA, single‑cell)
- Operate and execute sequencing runs on multiple instruments (Illumina, Element Biosciences, Pacific Biosciences)
- Provide direct communication and support to users concerning the experimental work conducted by the platform
- Contribute to continuous improvement of procedures and to the maintenance of quality standards
- Optimize, develop, and evaluate new methods and technologies in genomics
Your qualifications
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
- Bachelor of Science from a University of Applied Sciences (HES) in Life Technologies or Life Sciences / Master of Science from a University of Applied Sciences (HES) in Life Technologies or Life Sciences
- 3 years of professional experience in high-throughput sequencing (library preparation and operation of high-throughput sequencers)
