Position Summary

The Bioinformatics Centre, Madras Veterinary College, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai, has issued an Advertisement for the post of Field Worker under a sanctioned ANRF-ARG Project, on a purely temporary basis.

Vacancy: 1 post (Field Worker), under the project “Development of a gene-deleted Fowl Adenovirus 11 vaccine strain as viral vaccine vector for chicken.”

Duration: Initial engagement for 12 months, extendable for two more years on a yearly basis, based on organizational need and candidate performance.

Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Veterinary Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in the same disciplines, with knowledge of animal cell culture techniques, virology techniques, molecular biology techniques, and bioinformatics.

Remuneration: Rs. 24,000/- per month + House Rent Allowance, totaling Rs. 31,200/- per month.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, maximum 35 years (under the young professional category).

Interview Date: 30.06.2026 at 10:00 AM, at the Bioinformatics Centre, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai 600007.

Key Terms and Conditions: The engagement is purely temporary with no right to claim regular appointment under TANUVAS. The university bears no responsibility for salary/regular appointment after expiry/termination of the project. Performance will be appraised quarterly, and unsatisfactory performance/conduct will result in termination with one month’s notice. Only candidates willing to serve at least one year should apply. Employed candidates must submit an NOC from their employer during the interview. Original certificates and a government-issued photo ID are mandatory for the interview. No TA/DA will be paid.
