Job Description: Applications are invited for the position of Project Technical Support – III (Non-Medical) under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded Small Grant (SG) project in the School of Healthcare Science and Engineering (SHINE), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu. Title of the Project : Bio-SLIM: Ultrasound-Assisted Bioprinting for In Vitro Modeling of Insulin Resistance in Type 2 Diabetes Qualification (Essential) : Three-year Graduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biomedical Sciences / Materials Science or allied disciplines with three (3) years of relevant research or technical experience, OR Post-Graduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biomedical Sciences / Materials Science or allied disciplines from a recognized university. Qualification (Desirable) : Hands-on experience in biomaterials preparation, hydrogel formulation, 3D bioprinting support, or in vitro tissue model maintenance Experience with mammalian cell culture, basic biochemical/molecular assays, or laboratory instrumentation Familiarity with ultrasound-based experimental systems, imaging, or mechanical characterization will be an added advantage Stipend : Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA @ 10% with annual increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completion of every two years, as per ICMR norms.
