Eligibility

• Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science in any of the following disciplines: Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Pharmacology, Veterinary Medicine, or Veterinary Surgery, with valid Registration issued under IVC.
• OR Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science with 01 year of experience managing Laboratory Animal facility in any Reputed Research Institute/Lab/company.

Age Limit
50 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates as per GOI instructions)

Requirements

• Develop protocols to ensure that the clinical and preventive health programs are implemented effectively in the Animal Care Facility.
• Orient new students/animal users on the proper use of the animal facility and explain the SOPs of the animal care facility.
• Manage, coordinate and supervise the individual job duties of a team of animal facility caretakers and housekeeping staff.
• Train the new students/animal users/animal caretakers/support staff in proper care and humane handling of laboratory animals.
• Assist the Facility in charge in the process of import and export of live laboratory animals, quarterly animal health monitoring programs (in SPF animal colonies), organizing animal ethics committee meetings and record keeping as per CCSEA guidelines (GOI).
