Eligibility

• B.Sc. in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Botany or diploma holder in agricultural sciences i.e. crop science

Desirable Qualifications

• M.Sc.(Agriculture)/ M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology
• Experience in pearl millet breeding and molecular work

Roles and Responsibilities

• Marker assisted backcross breeding in pearl millet
• Phenotyping, data recording and backcross breeding in pearl millet

Age Limit

• 21-45 years (as on date of interview)
• Relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government norms

How to Apply

• The walk-in-interview will be held at IGFRI, Jhansi, which is 10 K.M. from Jhansi city.
• Candidates are required to submit a duly filled and signed application form (as per the format annexed) along with self-attested copies of all certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled castes/scheduled tribe/OBC, etc.
• All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities.
• Applicants must bring original documents for verification.
• Applicants must bring two sets of complete bio-data with a self-attested photograph and self-attested enclosures such as mark sheets, proof of date of birth, certificates for qualification, experience, and caste certificate for submission in the office at the time of interview.
• In case of serving candidates, a No Objection Certificate from the employer and an experience certificate in original should be produced, wherever applicable.

Terms and Conditions

• The post is purely temporary, time-bound, non-regular, and co-terminus with the project.
• The post will be filled on a contractual basis initially for a period of 01 year (extendable as per the requirement).
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
