Salary

• Consolidated Rs. 42,000/- per month
• No HRA will be paid
• Candidates cannot claim for any increment

Eligibility

• Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Genetics and Plant Breeding / Seed science and technology / Plant Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry
• Graduate degree holders in relevant agricultural sciences i.e. crop science

Requirements

• Desirable: Experience in breeding of grasses, crossing techniques and cytology of grasses

Roles and Responsibilities

• Breeding of grasses, cytology studies of grasses
• Recording, analysing, phenotyping onwards the data for fodder yield and its component traits
• Screening of grasses for abiotic stress tolerances
• Biochemical analysis of grasses for fodder quality and stress tolerance

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-Non-Creamy Layer PH candidates as per govt. rules (5 years for SC / ST years for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates)

How to Apply

• Walk-in-interview will be held at IGFRI, Jhansi.
• Candidates are required to submit a duly filled in applicant form (as per the format attached) and signed application form along with self-attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled castes, scheduled tribe, OBC, etc.
• All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities.
• Applicants must bring original documents for verification along with four sets of complete bio-data with self-attested photograph and self-attested enclosures such as mark sheets, proof of date of birth, certificates for qualification, experience, and caste certificate for submission in the office at the time of interview.
• In case of serving candidates, a No Objection Certificate from the employer and experience certificate in original should be produced, wherever applicable.

Terms and Conditions

• The post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year (which is extendable as per the requirement & guidelines of ICAR).
• The position is co-terminus with the project.
• The selection of candidate(s) doesn’t entail on them any right for absorption/regularization at IGFRI Jhansi or any other sister concern including ICAR Headquarter.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
