• Funding Agency: Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP), Lucknow

Salary

• Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated) for the first two years
• Rs. 28,000/- per month (consolidated) for the third year

Location

• Department of Zoology, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj-211 002, U.P, India

Eligibility

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen and resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Essential: M.Sc. in Life Science/Environmental Science/related discipline with first-class academic record.

Requirements

• Desirable: NET qualification; prior experience in aquatic ecology, microplastic analysis (knowledge of FTIR/RAMAN spectroscopy), environmental monitoring, and field sampling techniques.
• Selected candidates must join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
• Shortlisted candidates must appear in person for the interview with original certificates. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.

Tenure of Appointment

• Three years (initially one year, renewable annually based on performance and CSTUP norms).
• The appointment is purely on a temporary basis (contractual) and will terminate automatically without any notice on termination of the research project.
• The appointed person shall have no claim of permanent appointment/absorption in the funding agency or in University of Allahabad.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 28 years as on 01 April 2026.
