  • Both positions carry usual allowances as admissible to the Central Government Employees of the same pay and status posted at Hyderabad, Telangana.

Eligibility

  • For Scientist – B: M.V.Sc/M.Sc/M.Tech or equivalent degree from a recognized University with outstanding academic and publication record along with 3 years of R&D experience in any of the NIAB thrust areas. Applications are invited in the areas of Animal Nutrition, Animal precision gene editing, and Veterinary Gynaecology & Theriogenology with expertise in AI, IVF, ICSI, OPU, ET etc. (assisted reproductive technologies).
  • For Farm Manager: Graduation in Animal husbandry / horticulture or Masters in Life Sciences with minimum of 50 % marks. Experience of handling of herd of farm and large animals and their day to day upkeep in research organisations or reputed farms is desirable.

Requirements

  • Scientist – B: Expected to work in research projects at NIAB aimed at livestock production / reproduction / developmental biology to address issues of infertility by employing a combination of traditional and modern biological approaches to create new knowledge and develop novel diagnostics and therapeutic tools for infertility in livestock, and animal nutrition, efficient feed utilization etc. Candidates are also expected to help other scientists for basic research. This is a lien vacancy, likely to be continued.
  • Farm Manager: To look after all the animals kept in the animal farms, maintenance of animal data, and other jobs assigned by the competent authority.
  • Appointment will be made initially on a probation period of two years which may be extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test and / or skill test / or Interview.

Age Limit

  • Scientist – B: 35 years (reckoned as on the closing date for receipt of application)
  • Farm Manager: 30 years (reckoned as on the closing date for receipt of application)
