Your Responsibilities
- Assisting with and independently conducting genetic, molecular biology, biochemical, and microbiological experiments related to current research projects in infection biology (Reidl Research Group)
- Culturing and genetically manipulating microorganisms at BSL-1 and BSL-2 safety levels
- Assisting with and independently conducting experiments using radioactively labeled substrates (preferred)
- Assisting with infection experiments in animal models (mice) (preferred)
- Assisting with laboratory administration (including independently performing administrative tasks)
- Supervising and training laboratory users in the research group
- Participation in teaching activities: preparing for and supporting courses in infectious biology and providing laboratory supervision
Your Profile
- Relevant education (Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Analysis, Molecular Microbiology, or a related natural science field; or completion of a program at a technical college for chemistry, a chemical engineering school, or an equivalent qualification)
- Practical knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology
- Practical experience with bacterial pathogens (preferred)
- Practical experience working with mice; if applicable, Felasa B certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Willingness to pursue professional development
- Good computer skills
- Good English skills (verbal and written communication)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Motivation and reliability
- Ability to work well in a team and be outgoing
We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 43,838.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
