Rs. 42,000/- per month (Consolidated Emoluments as per ICAR guidelines)

ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi, Kerala, India (liable to travel anywhere along the Indian coast as per work requirement)

Eligibility
For Post 1:

• Postgraduate in Statistics or Economics

For Post 2:

• Post graduate in Fisheries Science/ Marine Science/ Oceanography

Requirements
For Post 1 (Statistics/Economics):

• Minimum one year of experience in socio-economic research, with expertise in climate risk and vulnerability assessment, socio-economic surveys, and statistical analysis and hands-on working experience in Python, R, SPSS, STATA, and dashboard development.
• Duties include field data collection, statistical and economic analysis, and climate risk assessment relating to fisheries and coastal livelihood systems.
• Post is purely on contract basis for a period of one year from the date of joining or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

For Post 2 (Fisheries Science/Marine Science/Oceanography):

• Minimum one year of experience in climate data analysis, climate modelling and projection, with working experience in R, Python, and QGIS for spatial and climate data analysis.
• Duties include processing and analysis of climate projection data to assess future climate scenarios and vulnerability in coastal districts.
• Post is purely on contract basis for a period of one year from the date of joining or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

Age Limit
Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

• Candidates having marks issued in the form of CGPA/OGPA should produce an approved conversion table/formula at the time of reporting for interview, otherwise their candidature will not be considered.
• Candidates should produce a No Objection Certificate from their present employer, if any.
• If any near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR-CMFRI, the candidate must declare it in writing as detailed in Annexure-II and communicate it to mbemd.ira@gmail.com on or before 13.08.2026.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview.
