Mecheri Sheep Research Station, Pottaneri – 636 453. However, major part of the work will be in the beneficiary fields located in Salem district.

Salary
Rs. 25,000/- (As prescribed in Young Professional II of ICAR guidelines)

Eligibility

• Nationality: Indian
• Qualification: Graduate degree in Life Science/ Any degree

Requirements

• Experience in animal husbandry activities is desirable
• Should be ready to travel to farmers flocks as and when required

Duties and Responsibilities

• Health care of Mecheri Sheep maintained under farm and field conditions
• Recording of production and reproduction performances under farm and field conditions

Terms and Conditions

• Appointment is purely on temporary basis
• Duration of this post is upto 31.03.2027 and it will be extended based on the approval of the funding agency
• No TA / DA will be paid for the candidates attending the written exam and interview
• Selection will be based purely on merit basis as per the norms of ASRR, TANUVAS, Chennai

How to Apply

• A walk-in interview and written exam will be held on 21.08.2026 at 11.00 a.m. at Mecheri Sheep Research Station, Pottaneri – 636 453
• Shortlisted candidates alone will be called for the written examination followed by the interview
• The written exam will be conducted for one hour duration with multiple choice questions
• Candidates must produce all original certificates in support of age, qualifications, photo ID card, publications, and experience certificate, if any, at the time of interview
• Working personnel must attend the interview with a No Objection Certificate from their present employer
