Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in Biochemistry (specializing in Plant Science) / Food Science and Technology / Food Technology / Food Science / Food Processing Technology / Food Chemistry / Food Science and Nutrition or an equivalent relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of four (04) years of Research & Development (R&D) experience in Industrial or Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations or Scientific activities and services, as per DST guidelines.
- OR Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry (specializing in Plant Science) / Food Science and Technology / Food Technology / Food Science / Food Processing Technology / Food Chemistry / Food Science and Nutrition or an equivalent relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
Requirements
- Project Title: Development of millet-derived specialty ingredients for smart protein products through novel approaches (DST)
- Project Duration: 2 years (Project ends by April 2028)
- Tenure: Till 31.03.2027 and further extendable based on performance of the candidate and funding of the project.
- Desirable: Research experience in plant-based food product development.
- Desirable: Experience in extraction, characterization, and functional evaluation of plant proteins.
- Desirable: Experience in food processing, process optimization, quality analysis, sensory, and shelf-life evaluation.
- Desirable: Knowledge of food quality and safety standards, statistical data analysis, and scientific report writing.
- Desirable: Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or work experience in externally funded research projects is preferred.
Age Limit
Maximum 40 years as on the date of Interview. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India/DST guidelines.

Salary
- (i) Rs 35,000/- + HRA as per Government of India/DST guidelines to scholars who are qualified for CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
- (ii) Rs 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology / Food Technology / Food Science / Food Processing Technology / Food Chemistry / Food Science and Nutrition / Post-Harvest Technology / or an equivalent relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- Minimum two (02) years of Research & Development (R&D) experience in Industrial or Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations or Scientific activities and services, as per DST guidelines.

- Reporting time for candidates appearing for the interview is till 10:15 AM with a grace period of 15 minutes. Applications of candidates reporting after the prescribed time will not be accepted.
- Candidates must attend the interview with a duly filled-in application form (as per the format – Annexure-I & Annexure-II) with a photograph affixed on it and signed.
- Candidates should bring their complete Bio Data, duly self-attested certificates and mark sheets (from class 10th onwards), experience certificates, and no objection certificates from their current employer (if employed) at the appointment time.
- All relevant original testimonials (date of birth, degree certificate, experience certificate, etc., if any) must be shown for verification at the time of registration as well as before joining, if selected.
- No TA/DA or any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
