Project Associate II position for a project entitled “Dissecting the Interplay of Chromatin…. Pathogen Candida albicans”

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the post of Project Associate II on purely temporary basis in the ANRF-CRG project entitled “Dissecting the Interplay of Chromatin…. Pathogen Candida albicans” under the supervision of Prof. R. Muthuswami, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Project Associate-II (One Post): 42,000 plus HRA as applicable.

Essential Qualifications: Candidates having a Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology or related disciplines with at least 60% (or equivalent) and fulfilling the DST guidelines and norms are eligible to apply. Candidates should have a keen aptitude and knowledge for understanding gene regulatory networks and genomics, and hands-on experience in the field of gene regulation.

Desirable Criteria: Previous knowledge of working with Candida albicans, and a strong foundation in protein purification, recombinant DNA, chromatin and transcription will be preferred. The project work requires skills in molecular genetics, protein expression, cloning and other molecular biology techniques. Any research publication in the relevant area will be beneficial.

The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
