Salary

Eligibility

• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
• Candidate with a master’s degree in botany would be preferred.
• A prior hands-on experience in plant tissue culture would be a plus.
• Qualifying degree(s) must be from a recognized University / Institute.

Job Profile

• Optimisation of a method with various conditions to grow plants under microgravity simulation.
• Plant tissue culture work.

Project Details

• Project Title: Sustainable Space Agriculture: Prototype Setup and Molecular Dissection of Potato Growth Under Microgravity Analog Conditions.
• About the Project: The overall objective of the project is to design a prototype for potato plant growth under microgravity and to evaluate crop adaptation by assessing its performance, physiological and molecular responses, through comparative analyses with ground-based controls. The project is for two years.
