Eligibility

  • B.E./B.Tech with a valid GATE score or M.E./M.Tech in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mining Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology or any other related branch; OR M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Life Science/Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or any other related discipline with a valid NET certificate from CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/ICAR (LS/JRF).
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
  • Final-year students/result-awaited candidates may also apply.

Requirements

  • Valid GATE/NET score.
  • Knowledge of statistics and GIS software.
  • Experience in independently handling high-end water quality monitoring equipment.
  • Prior experience in water/wastewater treatment, constructed wetland systems, adsorption-based treatment, field sampling, laboratory analysis, and recovery of valuable resources from contaminated water.

Responsibilities

  • Field monitoring, sample collection, laboratory experimentation and analysis.
  • Data curation and interpretation.
  • Preparation of technical reports, manuscripts, and maintenance of project-related documents.
  • Presenting research findings in meetings/conferences.
  • Supporting the overall activities of the Water Quality Analysis Laboratory.
  • Selected candidate may be enrolled for the Ph.D. programme of the Institute, subject to fulfilment of the Institute’s eligibility criteria and guidelines.

Age Limit

  • Upper age limit: 28 years.
  • Relaxed up to 5 years for Schedule Castes / Schedule Tribes / PWD and Female applicants.
  • Relaxed up to 3 years for OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).
  • Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
